EFG’s 14th Annual Orchtoberfest 2016 Orchid Festival boasted tropical plants and orchids galore that left you in awe. Themed by German roots, George Hausermann put on quite the botanical show. We had such a great time and were glad to be invited as a special guest to this festival.

Orchtoberfest 2016 at EFG Orchids Did you catch the Orchtoberfest this past weekend in DeLand? Well, we sure did and the orchids and many other flowers were BEAUTIFUL! Thank you George of E.F.G Orchids for having us as your special guest and giving us a peak into this outstanding legacy that your family has built. Orchtoberfest Continues

Orchtoberfest Continues Orchtoberfest blends German roots with the elegance and beauty of one of natures most delicate flowers known to us as Orchids, but to the enthusiasts as Orchidaceae. Many of DeLand Locals came out for the first time and several have made this an annual family event! Thank you all for allowing us to share in this experience along with you. Driving up you were soon greeted by the emu’s and donkeys playing in the fields and local vendors catering to your lawn and garden needs. Many visitors come every year and throughout the year for their fantastic orchids, others were visiting for the very first time. After stepping into the greenhouse, the gorgeous orchids were captivating making it nearly impossible to leave empty handed.

This three day event had more than a super capacity greenhouse filled to the brim with cacti, Venus fly traps and orchids of every specific sort. It also had a fun hay ride around the grounds, bouncy house, pumpkin patch and delicious German fair cooked up by George’s Niece Casandra, owner of Casandra’s Kitchen straight out of Arizona. Casandra’s Kitchen makes scratch made baked goods just like your grandma used to make. If you haven’t been out here yet, this is a place you have to come visit!
